I had bought my ticket ahead of time online and parked at the Ferry Car park which was very smooth.
I first headed across Sackler Crossing and to the Treetop Walkway.

This is one of those little trips out of immediate touristic London.
It is more than worth, and very easy.
In London, look for Embankment metro station if you are in Trafalgar square just go towards the river.
You will arrive in what looks like a little village downtown, with restaurants and coffee shops.
From there, it is a 5 minute walks, through a nice neighborhood, to arrive at the Kew gardens entrance.
The entrance costs 18 pounds more or less.
The Royal Botanic gardens is a place to spend perhaps half day or more.
Beautiful flower expositions, with places to eat here and there.
It is extremely well treated, and will have plants from everywhere in the world.
If you prefer, take 5 with you.
There are plenty of green spaces to do a picnic.
In fact, I would reserve a whole day for the Kew gardens.
Great for couples or families.
Got in at 10am on the first Sunday of Orchid festival - so no queues but as we left the Princess of Wales conservatory where the orchids were, there 5 long queues.
Wear layers as you will get quite warm in side the glass houses and you will be carrying your coats around and trying to take photos.
Enjoyable and fun trying to spot all the different animals but thought last years exhibition was more stunning.
The highlight of the trip was the Orchid show but the rest of Kew Gardens the paths to walk and the other gardens were so pretty.
Definitely coming back in the Spring when the flowers outside bloom.
So 5 activities for people of all ages.
Really enjoyed just sitting on a bench by the pond.
